UK‑Iranian Dual National Released on Bail After RAF Fairford Arrest

A 25‑year‑old UK‑Iranian dual national was seized on Thursday on suspicion of preparing terrorist acts linked to the Royal Air Force base at Fairford, Gloucestershire. The arrest, made in Westminster, led to police searches of two nearby properties, which have since concluded.

The operation followed a major incident declaration and the evacuation of dozens of homes after three “suspicious vehicles” were spotted near the airbase last weekend. In addition to the dual national, five other men in their twenties, all UK nationals from London, were detained and subsequently released on police bail.

Police are continuing the investigation into the circumstances surrounding the events. The dual national has been released on bail and remains under police supervision. The details of the alleged plot and the identities of the other suspects remain under wraps.

Further updates will be posted as the story develops.
