Typhoon Noul Triggers Scaffolding Collapse in Hong Kong
Heavy winds from Typhoon Noul ripped multi‑storey scaffolding off a building along Cheung Sha Wan Road in Hong Kong on Saturday. Police said they received numerous emergency calls, but thankfully no injuries were reported.
The typhoon made landfall in southern China on Sunday morning, bringing strong winds and heavy rain that forced the Hong Kong airport to cancel about 360 passenger flights. According to Chinese state media, Noul is the strongest typhoon to make landfall in China this year.
