Kevin Spacey has agreed to settle three civil lawsuits brought by accusers claiming he sexually assaulted them, effectively freezing the upcoming trial that was scheduled at the High Court for later this year. The allegations span actions purportedly taken between 2000 and 2013, which Spacey has firmly denied. The actor, who is now 66, was previously cleared of nine sexual offense charges during a criminal trial held in 2023.

Among the accusers, two had previously testified against Spacey during his criminal proceedings. One individual, identified as LNP, claims that Spacey deliberately assaulted him on approximately 12 occasions from 2000 to 2005. Another accuser, named GHI, reported that he encountered Spacey during a workshop at London's Old Vic theatre and alleged suffering psychiatric and financial repercussions from an assault in 2008. Spacey was associated with the Old Vic as its artistic director from 2004 to 2013.

A third accuser, Ruari Cannon, has publicly waived his anonymity and asserts that Spacey groped him after a party in 2013, following a production at the Old Vic. Cannon participated in the documentary 'Spacey Unmasked,' aired on Channel 4 in 2024, during which he elaborated on the allegations. Spacey has labeled Cannon's claims as 'ridiculous.'

At an earlier court session this month, attorneys for the plaintiffs indicated that they intended to include testimonies from seven other witnesses alleging similar misconduct by Spacey, which would have featured in the trial proceedings. The settlement terms between Spacey and the claimants remain undisclosed.
