Rescuers managed to reach the victim but he required first aid at the scene and was later transported to a medical centre. He succumbed to his injuries before the ambulance arrived.

The UK Foreign Office issued a statement supporting the family of the deceased. While local reports suggested that the individual may have become tangled in power lines before impact, official investigations have yet to confirm a cause.

Three fire brigades, two medical teams and several police units were dispatched to the site, and authorities expect to inform the family via British consular channels.

Palau de Noguera is a popular destination for paragliders and hang‑gliders, situated near Àger and on the Pyrenees’ foothills.
