A memorial service for right-wing activist Charlie Kirk will be held on September 21 at State Farm Stadium in Arizona, a venue that can seat more than 60,000 people. Turning Point USA, the organization Kirk co-founded, announced the event on social media, inviting the public to celebrate his remarkable life and enduring legacy.

Kirk, 31, was shot dead on Wednesday during an open-air speaking event in Utah. His suspected killer, Tyler Robinson, was arrested on Thursday night after surrendering to police.

Notable guests, including President Donald Trump, Vice-President JD Vance, and Secretary of State Marco Rubio, are expected to attend the memorial service. Before departing for Israel on Saturday, Rubio expressed his grief, calling Kirk a great young man and highlighting his influence on young conservatives.

Arizona holds significant importance for Kirk, being the location of Turning Point USA’s headquarters and the home he shared with his wife and two children prior to his death.

In the wake of her husband’s tragic death, Kirk's widow, Erika, made her first public statements expressing her commitment to preserving his legacy. Addressing a livestream from Turning Point USA's headquarters, she vowed to fight against those she referred to as evil doers responsible for his death.

Kirk's unexpected murder occurred while he was hosting one of his signature Prove Me Wrong debates at Utah Valley University, where he was discussing pressing issues such as gun violence. Tyler Robinson, the suspected murderer, is currently held in Utah County Jail and is expected to face formal charges shortly.

Following Kirk's death, Trump announced that he would award him a posthumous Presidential Medal of Freedom, stating that Kirk was a giant of his generation and a champion of liberty.\
