Billionaire Elon Musk and Prince Andrew are named in new files released by Congressional Democrats regarding the late convicted sex offender Jeffrey Epstein. The documents, provided to the House Oversight Committee by the Jeffrey Epstein Estate, indicate that Musk had been invited to the financier's island in December 2014.
Additionally, a flight manifest from May 2000 lists Prince Andrew as a passenger. Both Musk and Andrew have been approached for comments on these revelations. Previously, Prince Andrew has firmly denied wrongdoing, and Musk has expressed that he declined an invitation to Epstein’s island.
The recent documents are the third batch released by Epstein's estate, which include phone message logs, flight manifests, financial ledgers, and Epstein's daily schedule. Besides Musk and Prince Andrew, other notable names surfaced, including internet entrepreneur Peter Thiel and Steve Bannon, a former advisor to President Donald Trump.
The files mention a reminder for Musk on December 6, 2014, regarding his visit to the island. The flight manifest shows that on May 12, 2000, Prince Andrew was on a flight with Epstein and Ghislaine Maxwell, who was later convicted for her role in Epstein's criminal activities.
The documents also reference payments for massages that mention 'Andrew' in February and May 2000. While it is uncertain whether this refers to Prince Andrew, records confirm his US travel around those dates.
Moreover, the files include plans for meetings involving other figures such as Peter Thiel and Bill Gates, without implying that these individuals were aware of Epstein's criminal activities.
Epstein died by suicide in jail in August 2019 while awaiting trial for sex trafficking. Following these latest revelations, Democrats on the House Oversight Committee have called for the release of more documents to shed light on Epstein's connections with powerful individuals.
As investigations continue, both Musk and Andrew's associations with Epstein's network garner further analysis amidst ongoing dialogues about the implications of such powerful ties.
