In brief

Apple’s fiscal fourth‑quarter results show a 12 % revenue rise to $114.48 bn and a similar jump in net income to $30.71 bn, fueled by robust iPhone and Mac performance. Services revenue hit a new high, though iPad and wearables fell. The company noted record quarter‑by‑quarter totals across regions and a 15 % year‑on‑year growth for the full 2026 fiscal year.

Apple’s latest fiscal quarter, ending September 26, 2026, demonstrated a significant uptick in both top‑line and bottom‑line metrics, with revenue climbing 11.7 % to $114.48 bn and net income rising 11.8 % to $30.71 bn, according to a report by Xinhua. The gains were mainly driven by a 17.5 % surge in iPhone earnings and a 23.7 % jump in Mac revenue.

The company’s Services segment, which includes its App Store, Apple Music and iCloud, posted $31.57 bn – a new all‑time high and a 9.8 % rise year‑over‑year, according to the company’s own announcement.

Although Apple’s overall earnings improved, specific product lines fell. iPad sales dipped 10.4 % to $6.23 bn and wearables, home products and accessories revenue fell 7.9 % to $8.3 bn, reflecting shifting consumer demand.

Showcasing regional performance, revenue from the Greater China market grew 21.02 % to $17.54 bn, while the Americas contributed $48.68 bn and Europe $32.01 bn. These figures illustrate Apple’s growing penetration in high‑growth markets.

Operating income increased 9.9 % from $32.43 bn to $35.63 bn, and the company’s gross margin stood at 47.9 %. Diluted earnings per share rose from $1.85 to $2.10, a direct reflection of the higher profitability.

Apple CEO John Ternus highlighted the company’s record September quarter in total revenue and iPhone sales, affirming the strategic emphasis on flagship products that continue to drive margin expansion.

For the full fiscal year 2026, Apple announced record revenue of $478.83 bn, up 15.1 % from the previous year, and a net income increase of 18 % to $132.18 bn, underscored by sustained growth across its core hardware and services businesses.

Financial analysts note that Apple’s consistent growth, particularly within its services ecosystem, may continue to offset slower hardware sales in upcoming quarters. The company’s ability to raise prices on its high‑end devices while maintaining strong demand further supports this outlook.

Given the rapid pace of technological disruption, Apple’s strong quarterly performance exemplifies how a diversified product ecosystem can safeguard revenue streams while fostering innovation. The reported metrics provide a benchmark for assessing the long‑term trajectory of the company’s market dominance.
