TUCSON, Ariz. — Savannah Guthrie, the host of the 'Today' show, has taken to social media to ask for prayers as authorities in Arizona search for her 84-year-old mother, Nancy, who has reportedly been kidnapped or taken against her will.

In a heartfelt post, Savannah urged followers to raise your prayers with us and believe with us that she will be lifted by them in this very moment. Bring her home. The urgency of the situation heightens as Pima County Sheriff Chris Nanos warns that Nancy could face severe health consequences without her medication.

If she’s alive right now, her meds are vital. I can’t stress that enough, Nanos explained. He emphasized the situation is crucial given that it’s been over 24 hours since her disappearance and the risk of fatality without proper medical care is significant.

Nancy Guthrie was last seen at her home in Tucson on Saturday night and was reported missing the following day. Family members became worried after failing to find her at church and subsequently notified the authorities.

She has limited mobility, and we don’t believe she left on her own, Nanos stated. Search operations that include drones, search dogs, and volunteer support were briefly pulled back on Monday after a thorough search was conducted, suggesting authorities may be treating this as a potential crime scene instead of a simple missing person case.

As the hunt for Nancy continues, the sheriff's office has engaged the FBI for additional support. A sheriff’s helicopter has also surveyed the area surrounding her home, located in an affluent neighborhood in northern Tucson. As search efforts proceed, both family members and authorities remain hopeful for her swift and safe return.

We are committed to finding Nancy, Nanos reaffirmed as the investigation unfolds.
