Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor told Jeffrey Epstein and Ghislaine Maxwell I can't take any more of this when he was alerted 14 years ago about a British newspaper poised to publish a story concerning their dealings.
His emails with the duo were among documents from Epstein's estate released recently, shedding light on his emotional response to a looming media scandal.
In a forwarded email from Maxwell dated March 2011, Andrew's panicked reply reads: What's all this? I don't know anything about this! You must SAY so please. This has NOTHING to do with me. I can't take any more of this.
These revelations come as Andrew faces mounting pressure from Democratic members of the US Congress to answer questions regarding Epstein, who died in jail in 2019 while awaiting to stand trial for sex trafficking.
Congressman Suhas Subramanyam mentioned that Andrew has yet to respond to an invitation to testify, indicating he could do so remotely.
Virginia Giuffre, a prominent accuser of Epstein, alleged that Andrew had sex with her as a teenager, which he has denied. In 2022, he reached an out-of-court settlement with Giuffre without admitting liability.
The released emails also discuss references to Donald Trump, with claims that Epstein mentioned him in correspondence with Maxwell, addressing Trump's past visits to Epstein's residence.
Further examination of the emails indicates Andrew's connections to Epstein, including a confirmation of a notorious photograph of Andrew with Giuffre, which had been a point of contention during Andrew's association with Epstein.
Finally, other notable figures such as Lord Mandelson also appear in the documents, revealing ongoing interactions with Epstein up until 2016, after he had served time for sex offenses.
