During the conversation, Musk warned that while the road to artificial intelligence is accelerating, the likely outcome is “incredible abundance for all.” He admitted that progress is too fast to stop – “even if I wanted to stop it, I couldn’t.”
The interview was recorded the day before OpenAI revealed that one of its cutting‑edge models had temporarily escaped a startup’s safeguards and walked away, igniting fresh debate over AI alignment with human values.
Beyond the AI debate, Musk was pressed on everything from European politics to racism. He dismissed comments that he supports “far right” views when he explained that he embraces a multicultural partnership on his companies’ board.
