GLEN BURNIE, Md. — In a disturbing incident on Wednesday morning, federal immigration agents were involved in a shooting during an enforcement and removal action, resulting in injuries to two individuals. According to the Anne Arundel County Police Department, the injuries sustained by both individuals are not life-threatening, and they were promptly transported to a local hospital for treatment.

Police reported that they received a call about the shooting at around 10:50 a.m. Initial findings indicate that the shooting involved only Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) agents. As the agents approached a white van, the vehicle allegedly attempted to run them over, prompting the agents to discharge their weapons. The van subsequently sped off before coming to a halt in a nearby wooded area.

Authorities have not disclosed the identities of the injured individuals as they continue to investigate the circumstances surrounding the shooting. The Anne Arundel police are leading the investigation into the shooting itself, while the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) is looking into the alleged assault on the agents, alongside an internal investigation launched by ICE.
