In an announcement via X, Musk revealed that an email will soon be delivered to federal workers instructing them to record their work achievements from the previous week. “In accordance with President @realDonaldTrump’s orders, all federal employees will shortly receive an email asking them to outline what they accomplished last week,” Musk shared. “Failure to respond will be interpreted as a resignation.”

This initiative appears specifically designed to bolster accountability within the federal workforce, ensuring that employees actively contribute to their agencies rather than simply drawing salaries from taxpayer funds. Musk clarified that the expected workload is manageable, stating, “To clarify, the bar is quite low here. An email listing a few bullet points that make any sense at all is sufficient! It should take less than 5 minutes to write.”
