In brief

During the 45th edition of the fair, held in Expo Centre Sharjah, the group expanded its catalog to 550 titles, launching 19 recent research works and hosting panels, seminars, and partnerships to stimulate dialogue between academia and the public.

On November 4th to 15th, 2026, TRENDS Group presented 19 brand‑new research publications at the Sharjah International Book Fair (SIBF) while operating a dedicated pavilion that highlighted its role as the event’s Knowledge Partner.

The new titles, added to an existing collection of more than 550 works, represent a cross‑disciplinary effort that spans from natural sciences to cultural studies, demonstrating the group’s commitment to expanding scholarly dialogue across borders.

For the seventh consecutive year, TRENDS Group has formally partnered with the SIBF, positioning itself as an active catalyst that moves beyond mere book display to foster a live laboratory for idea generation and community engagement.

The 45th iteration of the SIBF ran under the overarching theme *Made of Stories* and accommodated 2,673 publishers and exhibitors representing 124 countries, while scheduling approximately 1,500 cultural, intellectual and creative events across its venues.

Within the event’s exhibition hall, the group’s pavilion featured five interactive sections designed to showcase the distinct research portfolios of its five subsidiary companies, allowing visitors to explore the synergies between academia, industry and public outreach.

In addition to the book launches, the pavilion staged a series of knowledge‑based events, including panel discussions and cultural seminars led by distinguished scholars, researchers and experts whose work spans emerging technologies, environmental sciences and social innovation.

Throughout the fair, TRENDS Group also engaged in signing several memoranda of cooperation and strategic partnerships that aim to institutionalize joint research projects and co‑publishing agreements with international academic consortia.

Dr. Mohammed Abdullah Al‑Ali, Chairman of TRENDS Group, emphasized the transformative potential of books and academic exchanges during his remarks.

“Books serve as a platform for change, and the fair acts as a meeting point for researchers and readers, as well as for ideas and their practical application,”

Al‑Ali highlighted that the ongoing partnership with the SIBF reflects a shared belief that livelihood of dialogues can accelerate the application of research insights into societal progress.

He further explained that the repeated collaboration over the past years has reinforced intellectual, scientific and academic ties with the cultural and knowledge community, a foundation that the group intends to extend toward new global horizons.

By integrating research outputs directly into the public sphere through the fair’s interactive setting, TRENDS Group seeks to bridge the gap between academic research and community awareness, thus supporting a richer ecosystem of knowledge exchange.

Looking forward, the group plans to continue its dual focus on scholarly publication and public engagement, positioning the SIBF as an ongoing platform where ideas can be challenged, refined, and brought closer to real‑world application.
