Aerial footage captured a massive sinkhole in front of a beachfront property in Malibu, California, that appears to belong to Hollywood actor Nicolas Cage.

The sinkhole formed on Tuesday morning, causing the drive‑way of the coastal home to collapse suddenly. According to a New York Times report, the actor acquired the property in 2024.

City officials of Malibu announced that all houses on the same street were ordered to evacuate, and a temporary shelter was set up to accommodate those displaced by the sudden geological event.

The collapse is part of a series of ground‑stability incidents along California’s coastal regions, prompting heightened monitoring and public safety measures. Authorities are investigating the underlying causes of the sinkhole to prevent future occurrences.
