The family of a Maryland man is grieving and searching for answers after 23-year-old Dinari McAlmont was discovered dead in the Bahamas. Officials reported that McAlmont's body was located near the Atlantis Resort on Paradise Island, where he had been enjoying a family vacation with his parents.

According to his mother, Michelle McAlmont, a photo presented by officials showcased her son with signs of severe trauma, suggesting that he endured brutal treatment prior to his passing. “He was traumatized,” she stated emphatically, expressing her devastation as a mother. She also highlighted that his hair, which he cherished, was laden with sand, indicating a potential assault near the beach.

“I need justice for my baby. I need justice. That would never have been how he would have done himself,” Michelle shared, reflecting the grief and confusion enveloping her family.

As the investigation unfolds, Shanta Knowles, Commissioner of the Royal Bahamas Police Force, assured the public that they would thoroughly pursue the matter to obtain the truth. The family now waits anxiously for clarity while grappling with their loss.
