UN Demands Justice Following Deadly Double Strike on Gaza Hospital

The UN has stated that there needs to be justice after Israel's double strike on a Gaza hospital killed at least 20 people, as an initial military investigation suggested the strike was aimed at a camera positioned by Hamas.

With the attack rendering five journalists and four health workers among the casualties, condemnation has been pouring in, with UK Prime Minister Keir Starmer labeling the act as completely indefensible.

In response, the Israeli Defense Forces (IDF) released a statement identifying several gaps in their investigation, including the rationale behind the strikes.

The strike occurred in Khan Younis, with initial reports confirming at least one death— that of a Reuters cameraman operating a live video feed from the hospital. A subsequent strike targeted journalists and rescuers at the scene, adding significant toll to the tragedy.

Amidst these developments, Israelis organized nationwide protests demanding the release of hostages held by Hamas and calling for a ceasefire.

Monday's attack on Nasser Hospital was described as a shocking incident, with calls for accountability from the UN's human rights office spokesperson.

As tensions rise, the situation remains fluid, with further investigations called for by both international and local authorities.
