A large kangaroo reportedly attacked Don James in Port Macquarie's floodwaters, with witnesses alleging the animal had become agitated due to a recent deluge in New South Wales. Kristy Lees, who witnessed the brawl, detailed how the kangaroo chased James, leading to a fierce struggle. After James tumbled into floodwaters, the kangaroo supposedly pinned him down, attempting to drown him momentarily. Fortunately, the creature was startled away by the arrival of another vehicle, offering James a chance to escape.
