An investigation is underway following the tragic death of Raphaël Graven, a French content creator famed for his extreme challenges. Known by his streaming moniker Jeanpormanove, the 46-year-old was discovered deceased at a home in Contes, near Nice, according to local prosecutor reports. Graven had recently been subjected to episodes of violence and severe sleep deprivation, often showcased during his live streams, and ultimately passed away during a broadcast, as reported by media sources in the region.
Clara Chappaz, a French government minister, confirmed the initiation of a judicial inquiry into the disturbing circumstances surrounding Graven’s demise. She expressed her shock at the "absolute horror" of the situation, emphasizing that Graven had endured months of humiliation.
The streaming platform Kick, similar to Twitch and where Graven had amassed over one million followers, shared their deep sorrow over his passing and mentioned they are conducting an urgent review regarding the events leading to his death. A Kick spokesperson reassured that their community guidelines aim to protect creators and expressed their commitment to enforcing these standards.

Sarah El Haïry, the High Commissioner for Children in France, characterized the incident as "horrifying" and called for stringent oversight from online platforms to protect young users from violent material.
In the wake of Graven's death, the prosecutor's office has confirmed an investigation to determine the cause of death and has ordered an autopsy.
