A judge in London has dismissed the extradition appeal of Kimberlee Singler, a mother accused of murdering her two young children in Colorado. Singler, 36, was apprehended in west London on December 30, 2023, following the deaths of her nine-year-old daughter Elianna and seven-year-old son Aden, whose bodies were discovered by police on December 19, 2023, in Colorado Springs.

During court proceedings, District Judge John Zani concluded that Singler's challenge against extradition lacked merit, and the case will now be reviewed by the UK home secretary to decide on her return to the US. Prosecutors informed the court that Singler left the United States shortly after the alleged murders and was captured in London 11 days later.

The context surrounding Singler's alleged actions involves a tumultuous custody battle with her ex-husband, Kevin Wentz. Prosecutor Joel Smith recounted that on the night of the children's deaths, police responded to a 911 call about a burglary. Upon their arrival, two dead children and a blood-stained gun were discovered in the residence.

DNA analysis linked the weapon and a knife found at the scene to both Singler and her deceased children. A third child, who remains unnamed, was found with severe neck injuries but survived. Singler reportedly accused her husband of the attack; however, evidence revealed he had a solid alibi, monitored by GPS, indicating he was miles away in Denver at the time of the incident.
