Recovery of €9 million‑worth of stolen artworks in Parma

Police in Italy announced that three valuable paintings, stolen from the Magnani Rocca Museum on 22 March, have been recovered following a comprehensive investigation.

The art pieces, valued at approximately 9 million euros, were created by renowned artists Paul Cézanne, Pierre-Auguste Renoir and Henri Matisse. CCTV footage released by authorities shows two masked individuals breaking into the gallery late on the night of 22 March.

The recovered paintings were seized during police searches of the museum and surrounding areas, but authorities have not disclosed further details on the suspects or how the theft was carried out. An investigation is still underway and police have urged anyone with information to come forward.

The Magnani Rocca Museum is one of the most frequented art venues in northern Italy, and the theft was described as one of the country's most significant art‑theft cases in recent years.
