Leopard in Rajasthan Liquor Store: A Narrow Escape
On a quiet Thursday in northwestern Rajasthan, a leopard entered a local liquor shop, turning the routine day into a thriller. CCTV cameras captured the animal suddenly swooping and assaulting a cleaning worker. A fellow employee, the shop salesman, managed to dart out of the way, avoiding a potentially fatal encounter.
As the animal lurked near the counter, both staff members instinctively fled the premises. Local customers rallied and forced the shop’s doors shut, effectively trapping the leopard inside. With the building sealed, authorities swiftly moved in.
It took nearly five hours before officials were able to tranquilise the lion—a process that required careful planning and coordination. The animal was eventually flushed out of the shop and released back into the wild, officials confirmed.
