Valentino Garavani, the legendary Italian fashion designer known for his extravagant designs and contributions to style, has died at the age of 93, leaving a lasting impact on the fashion world.

Valentino Garavani, the renowned Italian designer famed for his contributions to haute couture, has passed away at 93. His foundation announced his peaceful passing at his Roman home, with arrangements for public mourning set for January 21-22, leading to his funeral service at the Basilica of Saint Mary of the Angels and Martyrs.

In a statement posted on Instagram the Valentino Garavani and Giancarlo Giammetti Foundation said: He passed away peacefully in his Roman home, surrounded by the love of his family.

The foundation announced that Valentino will be lying in state at Piazza Mignanelli between 21 and 22 January.

Valentino's funeral service will be held the following day at the Basilica of Saint Mary of the Angels and Martyrs, as per the foundation's statement.
