Russian special services are said to have ordered an arson attack on Tallinn‑based Milrem Robotics, a firm that supplies Ukraine with unmanned military vehicles, authorities in Estonia said yesterday.
Prime Minister Kristen Michal and Foreign Minister Margus Tsahkna reiterated the accusations, while the Internal Security Service said the perpetrators were Latvian‑born agents recruited by Russia, some of whom were arrested in Latvia and extradited to Estonia.
The attack is one of a series of sabotage incidents in August, including a drone attack at Leipzig airport, a fire at a Bulgarian defence‑firm warehouse, and explosions at an Italian munition factory – all attributed to Russian influence.
European leaders, including French President Emmanuel Macron and NATO chief Mark Rutte, rejected the claim that Russia is behind the incidents and affirmed continued support for Ukraine.
Russia has denied any involvement, with spokesman Dmitry Peskov calling the accusations baseless and lacking evidence.
