Berlin Pride Attack: Manhunt Continues After Vehicle Crash

The annual Berlin Pride parade turned from a celebration of LGBTQ+ rights into a tragic scene when a vehicle, driven by a 21‑year‑old man, ploughed into the crowd on Saturday evening. The collision killed one person and left 16 others injured, some of whom required hospital treatment.

German police have confirmed the driver’s identity as Abdul B and released a photograph of him in an effort to aid the search. The vehicle was later found in Brazil’s Tiergarten park, one of the city’s most frequented green spaces.

Authorities are conducting an extensive manhunt across Berlin, scanning surveillance footage and interviewing witnesses. The suspect is believed to be hiding, but police say he poses no imminent danger to the public at this time.

Berlin officials have called for calm and urged participants and onlookers to stay away from the scene for safety reasons. The incident has prompted a nationwide discussion on parade security and emergency response protocols.
