Container Ship Collision Sparks Manslaughter Arrest in North Sea

The incident took place on Monday morning when the MV Solong container ship crashed into the anchored Stena Immaculate, which was carrying jet fuel for the U.S. Navy, igniting a series of explosions and resulting in a raging fire engulfing both vessels.

As search operations were underway, hopes of finding a missing crew member from the Solong were extinguished Monday night when the UK Coast Guard called off the extensive search efforts. Fortunately, all other crew members from both vessels were successfully rescued and brought to safety.
