Meghan Markle Introduces Exclusive Online Fashion Shop for Fans
A curated digital collection featuring Meghan's fashion favorites launches
Meghan Markle, the Duchess of Sussex, has unveiled a new online shop that allows her followers to purchase her favorite fashion items, including clothing, accessories, and jewelry. This initiative was announced on her Instagram account, where she has 2.6 million followers. Meghan described her style as a blend of both high-end and accessible fashion, a theme she explored in her recent Netflix series.
The digital shop features an array of products, with Meghan noting that some purchases made through the shared affiliate links will earn her a commission. The ShopMy platform, designed for "elite creators," allows individuals to earn between 10% and 30% on sales from recommended items. Meghan referred to the shop as a "handpicked and curated collection of the things I love," responding to fans’ requests for insights into her wardrobe.
The initial 32-piece collection showcases a capsule wardrobe focused on neutral tones such as white, beige, light blue, and black, with an emphasis on natural fabrics like linen and cashmere. Among the items highlighted are a "perfect" white cotton t-shirt, a striped blue "boyfriend" shirt, and chic formal pieces like a black wool blazer and an elegant ivory evening gown.
Most of the featured products are sourced from upscale high-street brands including Theory, Reformation, and Madewell, while also incorporating luxury and budget-friendly options. Notably, the collection includes a £99 trench coat from Uniqlo and a pair of brown leather sandals from Saint Laurent retailing at £595.
This new venture follows closely after the premiere of Meghan's Netflix lifestyle show, which chronicles her home life and leisurely pursuits, such as gardening and cooking. Additionally, she has previously launched her lifestyle brand, As Ever, that offers artisanal products. Reflecting on her past experiences, Meghan ran a lifestyle blog called The Tig, providing insight into her views on beauty, fashion, and wellness before ending it in 2017.
Meghan's recent foray into fashion e-commerce demonstrates her continuing influence in the industry and her ability to connect with fans through shared interests and personal recommendations.
